Bachelor of Education in Christianity(B.E.C)

Purpose  

    The Bachelor of Education in Christianity is designed to provide increased knowledge of the Bible and its interpretation to prepare students for local church education ministries and denominational education services. Through deepening knowledge of the Bible and knowledge of education in the local church, the student will have an understanding of the learning processes for children through adults including the ministries of the local church in maturing the saints for the work of ministry.

BEC Degree Objectives  

Students graduating with the Bachelor of Education in Christianity degree will be able to do the following:

1. Demonstrate an increased understanding of the Christian worldview in relation to the natural and social world

2. Demonstrate an increased understanding of the theological foundations of Christian Education

3. Demonstrate increased competence in practical skills of Christian Education, such as information management, strategic teaching, and effective communication

4. Demonstrate an enhanced foundation for subsequent formal and informal education.
